Blackberry picking

Logan and I went blackberry picking last week.

Here Logan is on the hay ride out to the field.
Logan takes blackberry picking very seriously.
Our haul for the day.
With our blackberries we made 5 jars of jam...

A blackberry crisp... And we have enough frozen for another crisp when my dad comes to visit in a few weeks.

Ohhh...YUM! Jealous over here!! :) Our blackberries are actually producing well this year....the only problem is the birds get them before we do!

I lived near tons of blackberry bushes for a year in Oregon. I kick myself frequently for not taking up canning while I was there. I'd still be eating jam 4 years later if I had!

Enjoy!

The blackberries look scrumptous. That jam will be great in the winter.

Logan looks a a bit tired in that one photo. He must have worked hard picking those yummy blackberries.

I hope you made him an extra serving of the delicious blackberry crisp.

Oh, and by the way, I have some love to share with you! Come visit my blog to pick up your award!

The blackberries and everything made with it are delicious! It was a really hot day so Logan was pretty wiped out after picking that many berries.

Melody - Come on over. We love to share.
