Poor Ursa Bear

Sorry for being so MIA on this blog and everyone elses. I'll be amazed if I have any readers anymore. Summer is so busy!

Ursa Bear's hair was getting really long and she was so hot. So we decided to give her a haircut. We used a pair of spring scissors.

Here she is pre-haircut.

We took her up to the house to do the haircut. She met the cats for the first time.
We locked her into the milkstand with a bowl of food for some of the haircut, then Logan held her for the rest.

Poor girl, I am not a hairdresser! She looks silly.
"What did that woman do to me?"

Don't worry Ursa, it'll grow back. She is much cooler now though.

She may look a bit scuffy, but at least she will be cooler.

Awww, she is still cute. I had to do a hand-trim on my angora, Luna, too. She looked even more scraggly and scruffy than your Ursa Bear does. But like you said, she sure was a lot cooler. :)

Ursa Bear is the most lovely shade of apricot. So pretty!

I finally got around to doing my Daisy except her wool was inches and inches long. I used scissors, too, and it took 4 hours! Ursa will definitely feel better.

Did you save the fiber for a project?

Sometimes comfort is way more important than fashion. She must feel much better. She's still awfully cute!

I did save the fiber. I hope to play with it sometime soon.

Lisa, she is actually pure white, that is the Georgia clay giving her that lovely color.

She is preciously cute and the hair is already growing back so she doesn't look so sad anymore.
