I think I might have metioned it before but there is a podcast I have been listening to for the past few years that you might be interested in. Geek.Farm.Life is a podcast about two geeks, andrew and misty, who moved from silicon valley to rural Indiana and raise dairy goats and do lots of other farm, garden, animal, knitting, food preservation and other frontier-like stuff for a variety of reasons. They talk a lot about goats and the challenges and questions they have encountered and have a large experienced fan base that answer each others questions and provide lots of feedback. They have a "farm phone" that you can call in with comments/questions and that usually drives a good deal of their discussion. They even have a "goat-cam" where you can watch their goats. I think you would like it once you got into it. Their web page is http://geekfarmlife.com/
I love your new header! Farm life certainly seems to be agreeing with Logan :) The babies grow up fast don't they? Orion looks great - I know I can see mischief in his eye just like ALL young goats :)
Hope your having fun with them - how's the milking going?
Deb - Milking is going ok, I'm still not getting as much as I'd like but we've gotten into a routine.
Cee Cee - You should so get a goat! They are a lot of fun. Orion is a fun loving kid, but not mischevious. I'd say the cats are bigger trouble makers than he is.
I just found your site. It's so fun! Love the pictures of the kids and kids. I know exactly what you mean about the balance. Sometimes I just want to throw up my hands and order pizza. I am the autor of Just In Case: how to self sufficient when the unexpected happens. My blog is www.justincasebook.net. I am trying to write a new book, keep up with the blogging, take care of the kids, get in the garden, help with the bees, keep up with the housework and still read a book now and then. And now I have this bunch of homesteading blogs I have stumbled upon. It's a good thing I don't need a lot of sleep.

And your new header makes me smile BIG! Such joyous youthfulness!

Love the new Header! Your "boys" are so cute, especially the shirtless one. Orion sure is growing.
He is growing so fast! But he is still adorable and I want to just hug him. LOL
chanting with eyes closed (can't have goats, can't have goats, can't have goats)
He is scrumptious and I'm sure he's full of naughtiness too.
