A nice day

Yesterday was really nice weather after days of cold and wind. So we took advantage and spent most of the day out with the animals.

Here we are going on a walk to the creek. Everyone had to come!

Logan cuddling his chicken.
Our neighbor's old tractor. I just like the way it looks.

That is a walk I'd love to take. Daisy and I just slipped around on the ice for awhile yesterday, but it just wasn't the same! :)

Hi, Christy! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I never did get any dairy goats. I just milk my sheep after I wean the babies. I can usually milk them for at least a month. I know that's not really long in the scheme of "real" dairies. But our issue is milking time, freezer space, and my sister can only make so much cheese at a time too. As for a milking unit I use the Udderly EZ milker which has been really great for me. I wish I had heard of the Maggidan's milker before I had spent so much $$!!

What great looking weather. Love the way the animals seem to be following Logan down to the creek. Looks like such fun.

Gayle, I'm sorry! I'm sure glad we moved somewhere with mild winters.

Tina - I can't imagine milking a sheep! They are so skittish, how do you ever catch them? My goat follows me right to the stand and jumps right up. She seems to like being milked.

Mom - The animals were following Logan to the creek. They are all so people attached we can't go anywhere without them. The goats love the creek, the sheep weren't so sure.

Hugging a chicken sounds like a nice day. I always wanted my mom to get chickens, but she geese and ducks. The geese were mean and the ducks though not nasty, weren't particularly friendly either.

I like the tractor... sure beats doing everything manually. :)

Looks like you guys are having a great time, congrats! To think it was just a faraway dream not-so-long-ago...
