Before anyone is overly impressed with my teaching myself to crochet, crocheting is WAY easier than knitting. If you can knit, you can crochet easily. And I had to rip the mouse out many times before it was right. The weiner dog I'm working on now has been even harder and I've had to start over a number of times.
It is fun though.

That mouse is too cute for words. I can't wait to see the weiner dogs.
I am overly impressed because I can (or used to could) knit, but I can't crochet. Years and years and years ago when my Grandmother wanted me to come down from climbing trees and learn to crochet, I chose to stay up in the trees. No I wished I had came in and learned to crochet.
The mouse is just as cute as it can be.
