Baby birds

I left this bowl in the run-in and a little bird built a nest in it. She laid 6 eggs.
They all hatched, but 1 didn't make it, so she has 5 babies. Here they are at a day or 2 old.

This video is when they are about a week old. Scissor Beak jumped up and scared them at the end.

They are completely feathered now. I didn't check them today to see if their eyes are open yet. I'll go out in a bit and try to get more pictures. Momma bird takes good care of them. I see her bringing them bugs all the time.

I loved your pictures and videos. The baby birds with their mouths wide open are adorable. Five, wow, it will get tight in there.

Lovely story and pictures. Wow, they are so tiny. Being so far out in the boonies I only have access to dial up and cannot watch the video. Shucks.......

just darling little birds.

on the milker - I test the teat, plenty of milk, I can get suction on the teat just fine, I keep pumping and no milk. Need some advice. :-)

Oh yes, you will have little birds building in everything. They are cute, but we have them all on the top porch(still). I just decided to let them go for it.
I must have a dozen birdhouses scattered around.

The video is so cute. That Scissor Beak sounds as spoiled as Miracle Eve!
Have a good day.
Good luck on the garden too.
Pam

Awwww! So little, wren eggs I'm assuming. dont feel bad about the garden, I'm about to be there myself, I got one of the tomato cages caught in my tiller, and cant find my hoe....I'm dreading the work to do in the garden, besides being the first couple weeks after school being out....I have found myself say "garden? What garden? Oh yeah! MY garden...ooops"
