Chicks

Just some cute chick pictures. They are in the awkward teenage stage, but getting pretty friendly. They love running around in the pasture looking for bugs.

They love to hang out on the goats. I need to have the camera with me at all times!

Those are some really cute pictures. Love the chicken sitting on the goat. Doesn't the goat mind?

Great shots!

One thing...do you ever take a few minutes out of the day and remember how it felt when you were living in the city and wanting so badly to live on a farm? Doesn't it feel amazing when you open your eyes and realize you ARE living on a farm???

I try to do this at least once a week--usually when things aren't running perfectly. Really puts them into perspective, doesn't it?

Adorable pics. Logan looks like he is loving being a country boy! :)

Pamela - I do. Sometimes I just stop and look around and can't believe it. Yesterday, Logan and I were talking about what we would be doing if we were still in Delaware. It is a different life for sure!

Angie - Logan likes being a country boy when he remembers to come outside and enjoy it. He still spends most of his time inside. I guess old habits are hard to break.

I think our chicks must be about the same age - your Speckled Sussex look just like ours! :)

The goats with the chickens - hilarious! I can only dream! Sigh! Some day...

What kinds of chickens are your raising? They seem so very friendly.

Gayle, they are all types. The friendliest are the speckled sussex. The silver laced wyandottes are the next friendliest. Most of them are meat birds (dark cornish), they are only friendly because I feed them. They don't like to be touched.

That last picture is so funny. Your son looks in heaven with his little harem of hens.
