The chicks

I don't think I've posted any pictures of the chicks. A friend gave us 3 chicks a month or 2 ago because she thought they were all boys. She looked at the feathers or something. Turns out her sexing wasn't very accurate, because 1 is a boy and the other 2 are girls. They are Rhode Island Red, White Leghorn crosses and really cute. They are white with red spots here and there.

They are their own little flock. It is cute to see them run around together. They even have their own level in the coop to themselves. Calendula will be bunking with them when she finally goes outside, since they probably won't pick on her.

They don't have names yet. We name all poultry after plants. So if anyone has any suggestions of 3 plant names that kind of go together, I'd love to hear them. We already had ducks named Sage and Thyme, so I'm not sure I want to go that direction.

They are very cute ! How about Magnolia , Camelia , and Daffodil. The only thing that they have in common is that they are spring flowers.

Those are very nice! Did you need a rooster? I like having a rooster. I love hearing them crow in the morning! It's also good to have two roosters in case something happens to one of them, you can still get fertile eggs to hatch to keep the flock going.

I like Packs ideas for the names...

How about Dandelion and Clover for the girls and Chicory for the roo. All three are common names for cute broadleaf weeds. :-)

Georgia, Peach, and Bulldog

Pecan, Walnut and Acorn...trees are plants, too. I guess you would not want to give them nut names. I like everyone suggestions, may have to draw.

Great suggestions so far! I'll leave the final choice up to Logan. Who knows what direction he'll go in.

They are very cute. It is going to be a hard choice for names as all are good names.

How about Jasmine and Honeysuckle for the girls and the "roo" could be Morning Glory. (I'ts not very masculine but apropos, don't you think?) ;)
