Just beautiful!
The coop with the freshly painted red door while it was snowing.
While it was snowing.
Sheep in the snow are pretty.
I'm going to get sentimental for a bit. We've been here over a year and I still can't believe this is my home and my land. There are times I resent having to go out in the cold and rain and wind to take care of the animals. But deep inside I am in awe of this place. It is truly the most amazing place to me. The beauty of the land takes my breath away almost daily. I am at peace here.

The land gets in your blood. You are truly a farmer after this statement. Your heart will always be part of the land.
I know exactly how you feel. I do the same thing. Yesterday I sat with the goats and felt this feeling of home, mine (for now, how can I make it better for the future)It just feels so good.
Any time I get aggrevated or feel over whelmed, I stop and take a look around my farm. It gets tough sometimes, the mud, snow, rain or the loss of a pet but all in all it is well worth it. Alot of hard lessons, and alot of new experiences, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I grew up a farmer's daughter and am now a farmer's wife....so I know exactly what you mean. :)
Hope you can stop by for a visit.
You truly do have a beautiful place. I love coming down there to visit. It gives me a sense of peace and renewed strength to go on with my daily life.
I feel exactly the same way about our little farm. Some days i can't make myself get out there to clean pens, lug water and food, and everything else that goes with having a farm and raising animals. But most of the time I am amazed that it's actually ours and we GET to clean pens, lug water and food, and everything else that goes with having a farm. We (new farmers)truly are a lucky kind of people.
Truly beautiful! I love your coop! Our hens camp out on the porch by the slider next to the wood stove to catch the warmth. Maybe that guinea is smart and figured out she would catch some warmth next to the chimney?
It is beautiful! And I stopped trying to figure out my guineas awhile ago. I thought mine were suicidal cause they will not move for the cars but my sister in law says they are smart and purposely get out in the road when they see her coming just to drive her crazy.
There is just something about the country to make a soul feel at home. Congrats on being there for only a year and having so many accomplishments!
WOW...so much has changed in the 7 months I have not blogged (I had to stop temporarily due to health problems) I'm just amazed! It was so exciting to read and catch up on you and the farm! WOW is all I can say such progress and how beautiful! AWESOME! Hope you havent forgotten me! Rachel- Kyfarmlife/wilmothfarms
