Is it a boy or a goat?

Wow, it's been over 2 months since my last update. Geez. My work schedule should be getting easier now so hopefully I can post more often.

We had our first freeze last night so I thought it would be fun to post some pictures from the summer. I'm really not ready for cold yet.

Sometimes I think Logan takes his job as a goat owner a little too seriously.

As a mom, the first thing I think of when I see Logan crawling around in the tall grass is: Chiggers!!
I think it's wonderful and he'll have memories that last a lifetime of having goats as a boy. :)

Love it!

CeeCee, the only one of us that has ever gotten chiggers is me. And that was in Delaware. It was a horrible experience though!

He looks like he's having such fun! Chiggers are bad around here in tall grass. We always have to spray with Off before we crawl thru the grass like that!

Ahhh the best childhood ever adn I bet the goats love him too! My girls always played out with the goats and still do even though they are half grown now..
I have to say we live in Missouri and I have never gotten chiggers nor have my kids... I dont know why but its true! Everybody sees us out in the field in chest high grass and are like you are going to get chiggers!! Nope not one.. Now ticks we do get occasionally..

It is wonderful to hear from you again and know all is going well.

I bet Logan has grown a mile!

Gail, he has! He looks like a little man now, not a child anymore. He's such a great help. I was really sick this weekend and he took on all the animal chores himself.

Hey Christy. Glad to see you back in Bloggersville. Logan certainly knows how to bond with his furry little friends.

PS To answer your question about baking bread, I struggled with disappinting results until I got "The Laurel's Kitchen Bread Book." I recommend it for anyone who wants to bake 100% whole wheat bread. It not only has recipes, it also covers technique, step by step. It has made all the difference.
