Amish animals

Here are the pictures of some of the animals we saw on our trip to the Amish.

Now these are my type of horses! The Amish have tons of these miniature horses. They sure are cute!
Logan loved this goat. He can't wait to get his Nigerian wether to train. Notice the guide book under his arm. He has always loved guide books of any type.

I was really taken with this beauty.

Wait! These aren't Llama! These are obnoxious, begging sheep.

Oh, here is the llama.

The packers are here today!

Great! We have a new Amish community here in our town--they've brought so much interesting culture to our area.

Wow!! The packers are here...the packers are here!! I mean 'There'! lol!

I'm so excited for you!!!

Those minis are adorable!! I love how their shelter and fencing is sized so much smaller than full-size horses.

I liked that the sheep were in with the llamas, too. My llamas seem to really enjoy having their sheep and goats to herd around and care for.

Awwww...goaties! :)

Why in the world do the Amish have mini horse? Do they farm with them. I grew up near a bunch of Amish folks in PA and they were all business when it came to critters.

The animals are so cute.
Packing time already! Good luck. You will be down just in time for the leaves to be turning. And...we have a 90% chance of rain tomorrow!!
Have a safe trip.

Your son will love having a nigerian wether, they are so easy to train to walk on a leash...just make sure the wether is dehorned & give very, very little grain; actually no grain is even better! I so enjoy going down to Amish Country here in Ohio also! I can't wait to hear all the stories about your new place!!

Those are great animals! That goat is pretty, isn't it!?

You know what I miss most about the Amish? Seeing them use their horse drawn farm machinery as they are working their fields...and the HUGE workhorses. You just don't see those kind of horses everyday. Now I'm feeling melancholy....

Good luck with the packing today! How exciting!

Those mini horses remind me of Life Beyond the Sidewalks mini horse "Sunny"...
