We save all the bantam eggs for home use... and sell the standard eggs. We are never without; the little ones lay more regularly and longer than the big girls!
Where did you get her? Around here locally? She's beautiful.
My hens are laying so weird. They'd stopped all together (granted it was a feed issue and cold weather) but now it's 1 egg 1 day, 3 eggs the next. My speckled girl isn't laying at all and hasn't since before Christmas. So disappointed. But, I plan to add to the flock this spring and sell the stupid rooster! I'd love to have one of these though!
C-re I got her locally from someone on Craigslist. I got 2 hens and a rooster. I'm trying to sell the rooster, I have 1 too many. He is beautiful though. My girls have been laying like crazy for the last month or so. Strange with the cold we've been having. I'm getting 7 eggs on good days.
WOW...How adorable that coloring on your little girl! I have been looking into ordering some chicks from McMurrays. You definitely are getting me into the chick crazy mood showing me the colors of that one. I only have Aracaunas and Black Astrolops but I love my green and blue and brown eggs I get. My girls are all getting to be around 8 and lay only when the mood hits them and definitely not in the winter..way too much energy spent for that. What a nice bunch you must have!
Do you still have the contact info from Craigslist? I really like her coloring and would love to get one. You can email it to me if you want. I should be clickable.
Christy- I have your egg container. Winston LOVED the green eggs, so much so they were gone in 2 days! I'll have to start paying YOU for the green ones.. :)

She is beautiful!
Oh good golly - she IS a pretty thing, isn't she?! wow.
OH how nice! remember when you weren't getting any???I can't wait till I can get some chickens again...
She is beautiful as chickens go. After looking at my 19,000 white ones. ;)
Goodness, she's beautiful!!
I don't hold out much hope for fresh eggs this year. My hens are 5 years old now.
C-re, I took the only ones she had. She originally got them from Murray McMurry.
The small egg in the middle is hers, not all of them.

What a lovely hen. She looks very comfortable being held. Those are always my favorite hens - the ones I can cuddle a bit!
