Blog problem

Does anyone know why my sidebar is now at the bottom of my blog and how I can get it back on the side? I REALLY don't like it this way! I've tried changing templates and removing my cutest blog background but neither of those worked.

EDIT: I also tried removing the pictures from my last post because it started around that time and that made no difference either.

If you go to an individual post, the sidebar is fine, it is only on the main page that it is messed up.

I wish I could help but I don't know. I had a problem this week where I went to publish a post and an error showed up. This has happened before, often when I would copy a post I wrote in WORD to my blog. I just deleted the extra code they highlighted in the past and it would publish fine.

This time it didn't, my blog disappeared. Everything but the post I just published was gone, or so I thought. I finally tried resaving the post as a draft, then publishing it again and everything was back to normal. Apparently I had deleted some code that tells the browser where to put everything on my blog or something.

I don't know if that would help, but I figured I would throw it out there just in case. Hope you can get it figured out. Have you tried the help section on blogger?

hmmmmm. That is strange. If you just click on the post (like "Blog Problem"), the sidebar is where it needs to be, but not on the main page.

I'll take a look further when I get home from taking the kids to school.

Did you fiddle around with the html template that shows all of the code for your blog?? If so, what did you do?

Oh! There is one other thing to try, but I'll have to talk to you when I get back.

Melody - I didn't change anything, just logged on last night and my sidebar was in the wrong place. However, knowing it shows up on the individual posts I will check the HTML and see if I see anything different. Thanks for your help!

I checked the HTML and don't see anything different between the 2 pages. I'll check blogger help and see if they are of any help.

on your Farm Dreams main page it's at the bottom, but if I click just on the BLOG PROBLEM, it's on the side, hmmm

How strange. I wish I was more technologically competent so that I could help. I wonder if you changed your basic template and went to something simple, if it would still be there. Maybe you could try that and then change back? I don't know, I'm really not good with that sort of thing. There is a Blogger forum community isn't there? Somebody there ought to know...

Shiloh Prairie Farm - if I write a post in Word, I copy and paste it into the "notepad" accessory before then cutting and pasting onto the blog. Gets rid of the html code stuff and no problems.

I looked and can't see the problem. I'll have my husband the computer expert look at it when he comes home, okay?

Maybe you could take off the cute template, change the template on blogger, change it back to the one that you have now, and then add the cute template and see if that realigns anything.

Melody - I've tried that a few times and it hasn't worked. I tried it again and nope. I'm very confused! If your hubby doesn't mind looking when he gets home that would be great! Blogger sure can be frustrating!

Christy, this might work..
Go to your blogsite and go to your layout page..scroll down to the bottom..all your side bar is probably way at the bottom. Click on it and drag it back to the top..
If that doesn't help, go to the template and choose the two column template.
I'll check back and see if that helps.
Good luck,

Christy, I just looked at your site again. Go to your layout page and click and drag your sidebar back to the top. If that doesn't work, you MIGHT be able to click on EDIT on the Navbar and edit the page layout.

The section with all the page elements has ended up at the bottom and needs to be dragged back up top. I sure hope that works. It can be very frustrating.

OK, I tried every template and was able to find one that would put my sidebar back on the side. It's on the wrong side now, but at least it is back. In a few days, I'll try going back to my old template. I have no idea what the issue was.

Blogger removed my editing tools last March. Since then, they have let me post 1 photo & no one will help me. I love WordPress, because they have a patient techy who talks me through my problems, Blogger couldn't care less it seems. I even started other blogs on the forum's advice, but I can't post to those either. Your blog looks fine to me, even if it has taken me ages to get your blog up on your page!
