Quick question

Is there a food type name for goat poop? You know like cow pie, rabbit raisin, horse apple etc.? I tried to Google it but didn't have any luck.

I thought that was what I remembered. I wonder if there are any other terms?

In northern California we also called the berries but some others called them pellets, don't know why.

So Christy, have you contacted Dianne at http://www.doubledurangofarm.com/
we've become fairly good friends, by email, since I bought the three does from her. She is very good about answering questions. Her mentor is Rusty Repp at
http://www.littletotsestate.com/
he's very experienced and a goat judge. Good luck, can't wait until you get some. We just got our does in Oct and two bucks from
http://www.kidscorral.net/ in Dec
Because I'm familiar with puppy mills, I didn't want my goats from a goat mill, I respect good breeders whatever the animal.

Around here we cal 'em goat berries or got beans. :D

I did a poop post a while back about the weirdness of animal poop and why it is always given food names?

Did you know that llamas' poo is called Llama Beans? (Get it? lol)

Pellets is what I've heard. Goat grapes would work 'cause they are about the size of Possum Grapes and Summer Grapes that grow wild.

Thanks for all the answers. I think I like the sound of goat beans the best.

Lisa - I knew someone had done a post of animal poop names but I couldn't remember who it was. I should have known it was you ;).

Joanna - I emailed her awhile back and am on her list to be notified when kids are born. She is only about 20 minutes from me so I've been wanting to go visit her farm. I'll try to set that up soon.

Just for fun, why don't you call them Goat Goobers, since they resemble the candy.

As I googled "goat berries" I saw that they can be put into the garden w/o composting. Love those goats!

I've managed to learn that rooster is a cockerel, but does & bucks for goats? Those are rabbit terms where I've lived. In England it's nannies & billies for female & male goats & here it's goats & pucs, though goat is generic for both. I think I'm learning that "horse" here is a stallion as opposed to a mare as it confused me greatly when somebody asked if my largest qudrapeds were horses! "Umm of course they're horses, OK, a draught Cob & a Pony, but horse will do ~ oh, I see: no they're both mares..."

I have 2 pucs & I need a couple of nannies asap
