What a difference a year makes!

I wrote this post a year ago. It is talking about how I had started this blog a year earlier to record our journey to our farm, but were no closer to moving than we were when I started the blog. Little did I know at the time that 4 months later we would be putting our house on the market and starting the long, hard wait to sell our house.

But now 2 years after starting this blog and 1 year after the referenced depressing post, we're here! Everything worked out to bring us to this wonderful place. I love it here so much, it surpasses my imaginings. The neighbors are holding a dinner in our honor tonight! I feel so welcomed and at home here. I can't wait to get goats and sheep and really start moving forward with my goals. There is so much I want to do here, I feel that I'll never be bored again!

2 year blog-versary give away tomorrow. I want to thank everyone who's stuck with me through the last year's journey to get here. If you've been here for the full 2 years, I kiss your feet, you're awesome!

Wow, I soooo can't believe it's been two years already! It seems like you found your dream so quickly—like you walked determinedly down the path all the way.

Kudos to you. Love the photo with gun. ;)

You've come such a long way Christy, you and your family.
I'm just so happy for you!

I found you about a year and half ago, through my friend Jenny from Ironwood Farm Project in Albuquerque, NM.
I was so excited, because I, too had Farm Dreams while trying to exist in a city that didn't even allow residents to own even one chicken.

I loved following along on your journey trying to reach your goals in having your own farm. And when we finally bought our little ranch, I couldn't help but keep following along with you on your blog, encouraging you not to ive up on your dreams.
I wanted to see you reach your goals and dreams, Christy. And you've done that!
And now you've got new goals and dreams, all farm related.
Oh! How exciting!

2009 is going to be such an exciting year for you. I can't wait to follow along with you, and hopefully make it out for a visit, too.

Congrats Christy on your 2 year Blogiversary and to a happy and exciting New Year!

Danielle - It seems like so much longer than 2 years to me! Now, I did start dreaming of moving a year before I started the blog, so it was really 3 years in the making.

Lisa - Thank you so much! I sure hope you can make it out here for a visit.

I remember connecting fully and completely with you when I first saw your Playmobil farm set-up...funny, huh? Oh...that desire to live on some land, be with the animals, begin a new life...it has had such a strong pull for both of us. And wow - it is true: What a difference a year makes!
(A year ago, I was still living in my suburban home, my neighbors fifteen feet from me on both sides.)
Congrats again and again and again, Christy. You've made your dreams come true! :-)

Gail - Thank you.

Ramos Family - I had a vision board hanging on the wall for almost a year. We also had a Playmobile farm set up representing all the things we want on our farm. Do the visualizations and keep focused on your dreams, it can happen!

Peggy - I can't wait to get goats!

Your wish list says "Spinning Wheel" ~ can you spin? The lady that taught me lent me 1 of her wheels until I had 1 of my own, "Because", she said, "You won't throw someone else's wheel out of the window or jump on it!" Could you borrow 1 from anywhere? Mine is still packed up, together with my loom & most of my arty-crafty stuff :(. Winter is a great time for learning, but if you have a place outside that you could spin in peace, that's good, too, for the Summer
